Belts + Water Pump done 106,000/July 2017. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 XL Tyres all round. Recent all-round disks and pads. Always run on BP Ultimate/V-Power. Cup Chassis + Cup Spoiler Pack (Full Fat).
Unfortunately, the front splitter cracked and I never got round to replacing it. The A/C doesnt currently work (see below). After 5 great years of ownership, it is sadly time to move on from my brilliant little 182.
With a recent interest in motocross, I need something to tow my bike and unfortunately, 182s and tow bars dont go together. I took a while to find the right car when I bought this 182 and ended up purchasing this particular car from a chap called Luke near Abergavenny in April 2014. The car had done 68,000 miles at the time and since then I have done just over 48,000 miles in it. Be in no mistake, this is a great example, I have seen so many dodgy examples about and this is not one of them. The car has not been without its common faults however these have all been rectified during my ownership, this a great example of a fast appreciating classic. The car has a full service history with the belts being changed most recently in July 2017 at 106,000 miles, so they will not need doing again for another 3 years. The belts were done by Floyd at RS Four Ashes, who commented on what decent example this car was and mentioned how strong the engine felt. The car has Michelin Pilot Sport 3 XL tyres all round with approximately 2.5-3mm of tread remaining. Cosmetically the car is good but not perfect, there are a few dings (featured in the photos). The car has recently had new discs and pads, with Brembo HC discs fitted at the front and Genuine Renault pads all round.
In terms of modifications, the car has a Scorpion RS192 exhaust fitted, which sounds great, not too loud and does not drone. Inside, there are the usual things associated with Clios of this era.
As with all 12s the wheel has melted away slightly over the years and the material they use to coat elements of the interior like the centre console and grab handles is not amazing, but presentable. The engine pulls well and to me felt stronger than the two other 182s I test drove before purchasing this one. The gearbox, clutch and drivetrain all work as they should with none of the typical crunching between 2-3-4th. The A/C is not working, unfortunately. I had the system re-gassed at the time of the cam belt being done and it was working spot-on for several weeks.
The car was put in storage for a couple of months after this and upon return, it wouldnt work. I have been meaning to take it to a specialist but in all honesty, it has never bothered me much. Other things replaced in my ownership.
One new rear and front brake calliper. New rear genuine cup shock absorbers. Just fitted all-new engine mounts + dogbone mount. New Powerflex inner anti-roll bar bushes.
Overall this is a great example of this little car, it is not perfect but I have tried to be honest so that you will not be disappointed. Viewings and test drives welcome!
I would really like the car to go to an enthusiast so that whoever owns it next continues to appreciate and love it as I have. Any questions or to view the car, please call me on 0-7-9-9-0 012153.
