2002 Renault Clio Sport 172 105k miles Cambelt / Dephasser 2015 at 95k Miles (with Receipt) 5 Previous Owners MOT - 24th June 2021 For sale is a lovely example of a low mileage Clio 172 Sport. The car has had the all important cambelt / dephasser replaced in 2015 and has covered around 10k since. I have just replaced the following ready for the new owner, dephasser solenoid, cam caps, offside engine mount, as I could see these all needed doing. I had the headlights refurbsihed as they are prone to going yellow and foggy due to UV from the sun.

Further to that I have just serviced the car with Millers 5w 40 Fully synthetic oil and oil filter and replaced 2 tyres. The car drives perfectly and all the electrics are working fine. The car feels tight and handles very well. Gearbox feels precise and tight with no nasty noises or whines. The car is pretty much completely standard apart from the decat.

The interior is in great shape also for an 18 year old car and the underneath is nice and clean with solid jacking points. What probably lets it down is the exterior condition of the car however saying that you will see from the pictures it cleans up extremely well.

The car is Cat N after being scratched. Someone has keyed the car along the offside which is the drivers door and rear quarter panel and very slightly onto front wing. It also has a mark on the rear bumper lip which has caused some paint to be cracked / removed. There are some other marks over the car such as front bumper, bonnet etc but for 18 years old its pretty excellent.

None of these issues bothered me. Ive tried to show the keyed offside in its worst light on the photograph, I actually dont think its all that bad to live with otherwise I wouldnt have bought it myself. There are some receipts but I dont have the service book. In summary this car is a usable and presentable little car that is mechanically strong.

It would be lovely to see this one kept standard as these are becoming future classics with so many becoming capable track cars.
